2025 SCCA Scholarship Recipients

MISS MAKAYLA AMANI DINGLE is the daughter of Henry Dingle, Jr. and Leslie R. Dingle. She is currently pursuing a degree in Architecture at Midlands Technical College and has a strong passion for design and creativity. Makayla aspires to use her skills to create spaces that positively impact people's lives.

Outside of her studies, she enjoys spending time outdoors and exploring new places. She is also deeply committed to giving back to her community—whether through volunteering, participating in local projects, or simply lending a hand where it’s needed.

MR. DELAZANDRO RAWLS JR. graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School in 2021 and is currently attending Coastal Carolina University, majoring in Public Health with a minor in Health Professions. Inspired by his father’s battle with Sickle Cell Disease, Delazandro chose this field to better understand the illness and help others affected by it.

His studies focus on improving community health through prevention, treatment, and wellness promotion. After graduation, he plans to work for DHEC or in a hospital setting, using his knowledge to support his community and family. Passionate and driven, Delazandro is dedicated to making a positive impact in public health.
